FCP Art

FCP Art is my collection of artworks created since 2015. I have always had a passion and love for drawing and painting since young which I cultivated growing up. I took a break from this and went into industrial design in my studies for about 4 years, and although I found a strong interest in design, I still could not let my passion for drawing and painting go. So after University I took a Certificate couse in Western Art in NAFA to pursue my love for drawing and painting and now I do this more as a hobby and for me to cultivate the skill.

Here are some of the works I have done so far and yes, you will notice that I have an affinity for portraits of women and horses.
Enjoy!

Title: Can You See Me?

Can You See Me? Touch me, feel me, experience my journey from violence and bloodshed to isolation, displacement and shattered hope. See what I have seen, feel what I feel. They say the eyes are the windows to the soul. Maybe when all I am doing is staring at you, you will finally be able to see me.
- Refugee

Can You See Me? confronts the lackadaisical attitude that we bring to the refugee crisis all over the world. It is a provocative piece that disturbs yet draws you closer. It invites the viewer nearer, to see the scars of violence and enmity that have marred the faces of many and experience life, through the eyes of a refugee. Through silent communication the painting invites one to feel and experience the journey of a refugee from the fear and terror of violence and bloodshed, to the uncertainty and displacement of being a refugee. So come closer, there’s so much more than meets the eye.
